As you drive or walk down a road, you occassionally pass a mile marker. In older times, they used stones. Today we observe one of the happier milestones: J.R.R. Tolkein’s birthday. Apparently, proper form is to raise your glass at 9:00 p.m. and toast "The Professor!"
